loud, it's loud in here. and the fewer people there is, the louder it is. that i can't figure out. or maybe you just get used to it after a while, as more people showed up for a later dinner than there were slightly before 7. alas, it was a bit too damp for patio dining, and they have a good patio indeed.

the backgroud music was pretty random. juice newton, abba, frank sinatra, i think... not things you usually hear near each other.

anyway, the food. decent pastas (tortellini, puttanesca), a good jambalaya. i had the turkey burger, it had carmelized onions and cremini mushrooms, and basil pesto. it wasn't as dry as the usual turkey burger, but the patty itself could have used more flavor... maybe the pesto should have been in the thing itself. it came with skin-on fries, which were better than good, but very crispy. almost like a potato chip, it was noted. not my favorite style, but they were made from potatoes and not from a plastic bag.

service was decent. the server was very... upbeat about things. one of the happy people in life. water was refilled at a decent pace. sometimes it took a bit longer than you think it would for something.... and someone asked that wine be served not before the meal, which it wasn't.

however, they get negative karma points for not only charging $1.00 for the extra basket of bread, but not mentioning it would be $1.00. and it wasn't that good of a bread to begin with.

a good casual dining spot.
