sole (a.k.a. save our local eateries) started when there was a wave of restaurant closings in the twin cities (mn) metro area circa june 2003. a bunch of us decided to go to locally owned restaurants every third tuesday so perhaps our small effort made a difference and we wouldn't be entirely taken over by crap chain joints. the reviews of these outings (below) are what all y'all see here. ones not written by me are noted. yeah, it's like bite me, only different. ironic that the person with bad restaurant karma (brk) writes them, no? since we go everywhere from dive bars to posh places, they are hard to compare. so i don't. individual restaurants are graded being the best they can be at what they do. care to disagree? yo.zan.net {at} gmail {dot} com. see more my grading and such here, i'll update as i remember.
