kristen hersh (history lesson for the kids- she was in the band the throwing muses. can you say throwing muses, boys and girls? i knew you could) was in town for a record signing and in store gig.

a friend and i went. i brought the cd cover of one of her albums.

i waited in line for a bit. she signed in. she thought my name was cool, and asked me how i wanted the cd signed. i'm not that picky (at least when it comes to things like that), i said any way you'd like.

the friend i went with then decided she wanted something signed, so she went and bought the album that was being touted at the time. so i waited in line again with her. kristen remembered who i was.

whatever her new album/project is now, go buy it. at the very least, it'll be interesting.
